Emailing the Manufacturer for Coupons or Samples
One of my favorite ways to get great coupons is to email the manufacturers of my
favorite products.
I always look through my house for products that I love and use regularly and
write them down in a file I have on my computer with company email and website.
Then I go to the product websites and look for the "contact us" link. Some
websites have an email form and some just have an email address.
I write a very short note about how much I love their products and how often I
use it, and why I love it and how it helps me and my family. Sometimes I ask
about coupons and sometimes I just leave my compliment.
When I mention coupons, I might say something along the lines of "Do you have a
newsletter and coupon mailing list that I can be added to?". Just about every
website has an email form that will require your address but, if they don’t,
make sure and include your mailing address at the bottom of your message. Also
if you don't have a printer also let them know that you can't print coupons do
to you not having access to a printer!
Doing this lets the manufacturer know that I like their products so they
hopefully won’t discontinue the ones I love the most!
The companies (I would say 16 times out of 20) will usually mail me coupons!
Sometimes they even send coupons to me for FREE products!
